EMPOWERING CONSERVATIONISTS, SCIENTISTS, FILMMAKERS, ENTREPRENEURS AND BUSINESSES TO SCALE THEIR POSITIVE IMPACT
The world is filled with passionate, driven individuals and groups conceptualising and innovating ideas that will help buck the hostile environmental and ecological trajectory humans currently impose on our planet. The problem is these talented people are not often backed with the resources needed to scale their impact to its full potential.
We partnered with Envoy Foundation to envision a future-forward holistic brand identity that bridges that gap.
GOAL
Envoy Foundation aims to invest $5m in vital environmental projects and ventures by the end of 2025, and they trusted us to help them achieve that.
Conservation Reimagined
Envoy Foundation is an environmental-focused organisation that aims to scale up the impact of the work being done by environmentalists, conservationists, activists, filmmakers and businesses. They invest in businesses and projects that have the opportunity to make a measurable, meaningful and positive impact on the environment – but might not be able to get traditional capital injections.
The world is also filled with large NGOs that raise a lot of funds and want to put those funds to work, making a change in our world. Imagine if those struggling had access to these resources.
What we did
Branding – Research, Values & purpose, Language & tone of voice, Messaging, Visual Identity, Art Direction, Brand animation, Design systems and guidelines
Visual Identity
To capture the attention of these various audiences, we needed to create a brand that could easily represent every element of what Envoy Foundation stands for. It needed to speak directly to environmentalists, conservationists and activists executing on ideas in this space, as well as to the larger businesses and general consumer who cares and wants to help.
The logo is a fluid earth motif design focusing on the continent that is the origin of life on earth – Africa. This, intertwined with the ocean’s currents, ultimately represents the oneness of all natural things.
Behind the design
Our team’s creative focus points were boldness, confidence and forward progression.
We used a system-oriented approach to pair these focal points with paired back elements to keep the look and feel clean and considered
After conducting an internal creative sprint, we developed the foundation of the brand elements and brand experience into a visual identity that included practical typeface, colours, and dos and don’ts to ensure the brand could be easily presented without us.
Time to Make a Difference
“Working with an organisation working in such an untravelled space is a true honour. Helping them on this journey to create a powerful energetic new brand has been an enormous undertaking which would not be possible without such fluid collaboration between both teams.”
– Reese Lowe, Fat Wombat Co-Founder
Forward
Launching 2023, Envoy Foundation aims to invest $5m in vital projects and ventures by the end of 2025. This will be achieved through a community of grassroots supporters and investors, right through to premium brand sponsors, institutional investors and private banks.
